Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cups water, warm
  • 3 tbsp sourdough starter
  • 1 tsp salt

Vegan Pizza Cheese

  • 1/2 cup cashews, raw, soaked
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp tapioca starch
  • 1 1/2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

Dough

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, sourdough starter, and warm water.
  • Knead the dough for several minutes until it becomes smooth and consistent.
  • Roll out the dough to form your pizza crust.
  • Place the dough in a greased pizza mold.
  • Let it rise overnight or for about 8–9 hours.

Vegan Pizza Cheese

  • Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender.
  • Blend until the mixture warms slightly and thickens.
  • If your blender doesn’t heat, you can transfer the mixture to a saucepan and gently heat it, stirring constantly until it thickens.

Toppings

  • Spread your favorite pizza sauce over the risen dough.
  • Add the vegan cheese and toppings of your choice, such as bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, olives, basil, or spinach.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • Bake the pizza for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the toppings are cooked.
  • Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
