Brown Rice and Quinoa Pilaf

Ingredients
  

  • 400 gr brown rice dry
  • 50 gr red quinoa
  • 1 small tomato
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 140 gr potatoes small cubed
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric

Equipment

  • multi cooker (Instant Pot)

Method
 

  1. Wash rice and quinoa thoroughly.
  2. Cut vegetables into small cubes.
  3. Put rice, spices, and vegetables into Instant Pot.
  4. Add water about 1 1/2 inches above rice.
  5. Choose "Rice" setting on Instant Pot, cook until ready.
  6. Fluff pilaf with a fork.
  7. Serve it hot with fresh herbs, like cilantro, parsley.
